You’re staying in an old building, in someone’s house, as described. It’s in the lively bar area, so not quiet at night. I expected this and it’s honestly described. I loved the place: family feel, other nice budget travellers, room perfectly adequate (comfy bed), nice little bathrooms and kitchen to use, unbelievably friendly and well fed tabby cat, and great WiFi. Relaxed, informal, in the middle of things. No need to see hosts if you don’t want: I just let myself in and out. Felt very safe. I’ll come again. Thank you, lovely Greek hosts.

it’s quite loud until late, but still sleepable(it’s rught in the city center so can’t complain 😉).
Hosts are very friendly and nice.
also great lolocation to visit a good falafel restaurant downstairs 😋 overall If I visit Athens, I will choose here to stay again 💙

The room was in a hostel rather than a flat. The very centre. The kitchen and bathroom were always clean. Unfortunately there was permanent noise outside the window. It was impossible to sleep with the window open and closing it did not help. In addition, in one of the rooms someone was constantly smoking cigarettes. It also depends on what your requirements are. I unfortunately need peace and quiet to sleep.

The room was nice. Everything was clean. Especially the shampoo and soap dispensers in bathroom are a plus. Definitely worth the price. I would definitely return if I come back to Athens.

the good: location is perfect. bathroom very clean. easy check in. looks like the picture. good price.
the bad: I was there during a heat wave (which is not, of course, host’s responsibility) but the fan and the window were not enough. first two nights were very rough for me, so if you are traveling during summer I highly recommend to have this in consideration.
the other: this is a hostel. if you don’t like hostels or are looking for another kind of experience keep that in mind.

Everything was as expected.The place is centrally located within walkable distance to amenities and public transport.The room was standard, but very comfordable & clean.A fan was provided which is a plus, given that summers in Athens can get very hot.Overall my staying was a possitive experience & I would chose Alis, Yannis & Mimis place again.

Nice simple accomodation with great location. It is not a very private shared area as the full time live in co- host, Giannis lives right there and has his door open next to the kitchenette and bathroom much of the time. He is a very nice and friendly man. This just makes the common area not as private as I would have preferred .

Small cozy room in a vintage house with quality price at the pedestrian center, very easy to reach anywhere and global food surrounds. Can’t even point out any shortcomings in the house. Will see you next time!

all good but I have a few things to say..
The smell of meat was coming in through the window (I’m a vegetarian and it was disgusting to me) ..apparently the window was broken, perhaps normally there is no such problem.
Moreover I could hear noises from the street, so it was it was tough to fall asleep at night.
It would be ideal to put thicker panes of glass to avoid hearing the noises and last thing there are no surfaces to put things on, just a chair and a nightstand. I’ d suggest putting at least a few shelves.

The place was exactly as described. I was very pleased with the location. It’s a bit noisy, but it is in the heart of Athens, so this is to be expected! Alis, Yannis and Mimi were excellent hosts. I found out that Alis has a breakfast place on Fokinos called Indigo, so I went there. Best turkey and cheese omelette ever! Thank you all for hosting me. I’ll be back!❤️🇬🇷

The place was in a great location with lots and lots to do! I was able to walk and take the metro or bus everywhere around Athens. The only thing that was difficult was the lack of AC… it was so hot when i was there during the peak of summer. They keep it pretty clean though and sharing a bathroom was not an issue!

Wonderful location: everything is nearby, Plaka and Monastiraki, day and night you can walk up by foot to the acropolis, to the library of Hadrian, to the new agora and etc.; along the road there are restaurants and taverns; nearby are shopping streets with branded stores and small ethnic shops. Convenient check-in, chrck-out, friendly communication

The accommodation is perfectly located with easy access to all (historical) sights by foot. Whenever I had questions, I received immediate answers and helpful tips. The room is small and charming, which gives it a unique character. Overall, excellent value for money. Highly recommended for travelers who want to explore Athens and need a place to stay.

Alis has been extremely helpful and responsive. Allowed me to store my luggage before check in time, as well as the disposing of my broken luggage was very nice of her. The place is right in the centre of all tourist you wish to explore and close to metro stations. The apartment feels very homey and is very clean. Some nights (esp the weekend) you have music playing from the party outside, but doesnt really matter to me. Value for money and recommended.

Wonderful stay! Location was great, walking distance to everything you need to see in Athens. Calm and cozy. Really enjoyed.

If you need a quick room just for a few nights this is very affordable. Location is perfect to walk around Athens.

I had a great stay. The hosts were great, very responsive and accommodating. The place is in a supreme location, easily accessible and as described. I would also recommend bringing ear plugs, as the street outside the place is quite busy, especially at night. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The place is right in the heart of Athens and very convenient to reach all lines of metros and around an hour away from the airport! I am very lucky to meet one of the cats and I believe they are super friendly too! Overall a nice cozy room to spend in Athens and there are many gorgeous restaurants nearby! Highly recommended for everyone visiting Athens!

Amazing location and great hosts! Exactly as described by the hosts the apartment is in the heart of the center not a quiet location but full of live and perfect if you want to explore beautiful Athens by foot. Giannis is very friendly and nice and can give you advise for whatever you need and want to see around the city. Great hospitality. Definitely worth staying there 😊
